Privacy policy
Who sees what, why, and for how long. Written from what the system actually does.
1Two roles, and the difference matters
There are two kinds of data here and they are treated differently.
Your data as a restaurant owner — we are responsible for it: your name, your email, your subscription, and the record of what you did in the dashboard.
Your customers’ data — you are responsible for it and we process it on your behalf. You decide what is collected and what is sent; we carry it out.
2What we collect about you
The restaurant name, the address you chose, your name and email, and your plan and invoices.
An audit trail of what was done in the dashboard: who changed what, and when. That exists to protect you when you need to know what happened.
Technical data such as a hashed IP address, used to prevent abuse.
3What your customers leave
If you run the customer club, a guest leaves a number or an email with their consent, and can withdraw it at any time.
Orders record the guest’s name, number, and delivery address where delivery was chosen.
Visit statistics are recorded in aggregate, with no individual tracking across other sites.
4Consent
Every consent is recorded with its time and its source. A withdrawal is recorded the same way.
Marketing messages go only to those who agreed. Service messages, such as an order confirmation, are not marketing.
5How long things are kept
The audit trail and the statistics have a retention period that varies by plan, and anything past it is deleted automatically every day.
Customer data stays until you delete it or the customer asks for it to go.
If you cancel, everything is deleted after 30 days.
6Backups
We take a daily copy and keep 7 days of them.
So something deleted today may remain in a copy for up to a week, and then it is gone. This is disaster recovery, not an archive.
7Who can see your data
JAD staff reach your data when there is a reason — support you asked for, or investigating a fault. That access is logged.
Each restaurant lives in a database entirely separate from every other. No restaurant can see another’s data.
We use providers to run the service (hosting, email and messaging). They see what is needed to deliver the message, and nothing more.
8Your rights
You can export your data and your customers’ data at any time from the dashboard.
Your customer can ask for a copy of their data or for it to be erased, and your dashboard has a screen for handling those requests.
For anything about your own privacy, the email is below.
9Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, and one that remembers your language.
There are no advertising cookies and no tracking across other sites.
